A Day Trip to Chai Xu Ancient Town
As the holiday approaches, I stay at home and bring my child to visit the Diaohua Building. The Diaohua Building is a relatively famous attraction in our area. It is said to be a thousand-year-old ancient town. We often played nearby when we were young. Now it has developed better and better, making it very suitable for taking children to visit.
Upon arriving at the Diaohua Building, I found it completely revitalized. The streets were decorated with lanterns and colorful banners, full of festive atmosphere, dazzling the eyes. The charm of the ancient town came over us, allowing us to deeply experience the traces of time. The environment was very clean and tidy, refreshing and relaxing. The child was also very excited, chattering nonstop along the way, enjoying this peaceful feeling.
Inside the Diaohua Building, there is a pond with koi fish that are very well-grown and lively. The child bought a pack of fish food and happily fed the fish. The place for feeding fish is called Zhentao Pavilion, which is said to have originally been a stage. The owner of the Diaohua Building really knew how to enjoy life, loved listening to operas, and even invited opera troupes to perform at home. What an enviable life that was!
The Diaohua Building may look small, but it has a hidden world inside. The carvings are exquisite, and there are many fine pieces of furniture, making one feel as if transported to life a hundred years ago. There are many old and famous trees, such as the boxwood tree in front of the door. Although this boxwood tree does not look thick, it is already over 180 years old, which is somewhat incredible. It is said that boxwood grows slowly, making it very precious. In the past, wealthy families would plant such a boxwood tree in front of their door to show their family status. From this, we can see that this family was indeed a wealthy one.
As the sky darkened slightly, lanterns lit up outside, very beautiful. They added a lot of festive atmosphere to the neighborhood. The child was very excited, running around inside; it is indeed very suitable for bringing children to explore. This ancient street was bustling with people, still very lively, and should be a gathering place for people from the surrounding area.
Further ahead, there was also a Fengshui wheel, which looked spectacular and beautiful. The Fengshui wheel also carries auspicious meanings, so it makes people feel happy when looking at it.
On the plaza of the Diaohua Building, many green plants were arranged, looking vibrant. They make one feel the vitality and vigor of life. From this, it can be seen that the Diaohua Building is a place full of infinite vitality. Although it is old, it keeps pace with the times and radiates brilliance.
I wandered inside for a long time, leaving a lasting impression. I will come again in a few days.
