Jiuzhaigou Valley Journey
In September, Chengdu sees a little rain almost every day~~ This moist air explains why Sichuan girls have such good skin~~
After checking into the hotel, we found out that our hotel was very close to Wuhou Shrine and Jinli Ancient Street, so we headed straight to Jinli~~
Just a few bus stops away, and we were there. This is truly the homeland of giant pandas—every shop had a panda mascot inviting customers~~
Wuhou Shrine and Jinli are separated by just a wall—on this side is Wuhou Shrine, on that side is Jinli~~
Next to Wuhou Shrine, there are these direct tourist shuttles that go to various attractions in Chengdu. It's very convenient and you can buy tickets online~~
Here’s some practical info: we didn’t have the right timing, so we didn’t take this option~~
The major famous attractions in Chengdu~~
A tourist map of Wuhou Shrine and Jinli~~
The ticket for Wuhou Shrine is 60 yuan. We didn’t go inside, but instead walked through the adjacent free scenic area—which is also part of Wuhou Shrine~~
Entering through this gate requires no ticket~~
Autumn in Chengdu—damp and moist~~
Wuhou Shrine is China’s only temple dedicated jointly to a ruler and his minister, comprising the combined shrine of Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, plus the Hui Mausoleum~~
When you reach the site of Liu Xiang’s tomb, turn to the side and you’ll arrive at Jinli~~
Legend has it that Jinli was one of the oldest and most commercial streets in the history of the Western Shu Kingdom, famous throughout the country as early as the Qin and Han dynasties and the Three Kingdoms period.
Today, it features teahouses, inns, restaurants, bars, stages, local snacks, handicrafts, and local products, fully showcasing the unique charm of Three Kingdoms culture and Sichuan folk customs.
An antique-style inn~~
Along the streets of Jinli, there are neatly arranged stalls selling handicrafts~~
Various traditional crafts~~
There are many lotus flowers in Jinli~~
All kinds of peaceful scenes~~
Green lotus leaves cover the clear water, red lotus flowers bloom brightly; below are paired lotus roots, above are twin lotus heads.
