You can choose to visit during off-peak times or go to other attractions.

Love Sea Scenic Area, a national 3A-level scenic area, also known as Ganhaizi Scenic Area, has an average altitude of about 2,200 meters. It is a rare natural wetland in the mountainous region of western Sichuan. It is not only a national forest park and scenic area but also an important eco-tourism and cultural tourism destination.

With rich tourism resources and good ecological environmental protection, the area's landscape features are characterized by 'danger, beauty, majesty, and wonder,' with a strong primitive wildness. It has over 1,500 acres of alpine wetland, more than 1,200 plant species, 255 wildlife species, and an ancient, rich Tibetan culture. Known as the northern gateway of Jiuzhaigou County, it is a great place to experience ecology, nature, and culture.

Love Sea has different scenery in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The surrounding distant mountains are layered, forests are dense, and streams wind through the lakes with lush grass like a velvet carpet covering the ground. In summer and autumn, wildflowers dot the landscape, and herds of cattle, sheep, mules, and horses gather. In winter and spring, the area turns deep yellow, contrasting with the surrounding snowy mountains and red leaves, creating a picturesque landscape. Therefore, Ganhaizi is also one of the top 10 wedding photography locations in China.

Nuoen Sangcuo Scenic Area

Nuoen Sangcuo, also known as 'Shenxian Chi' (Fairy Pool), means 'the place where fairies bathe.' It combines the landscapes of both Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, like a sparkling, exquisite pearl inlaid in the grand Jiuzhai tourism circle.

Located in Dongbeicun Village, Dalu Township, Jiuzhaigou County, the scenic area is a national forest park with a core area of 46,000 hectares and a valley length of about 5 kilometers. Due to severe erosion and cutting of the terrain, the drop between streams is large, forming 1,700 colorful pools and lakes of different sizes with bright water colors, which are called 'haizi' and 'calcified terraces.' This is a typical surface karst landform, where large slopes are covered with yellow and milky-white calcium deposits, forming a peculiar basin-like calcified pool and slope.

The most special feature of Nuoen Sangcuo is that it is one of the few scenic areas in the world where you can see both alpine lakes and calcified colorful pools at the same time. Moreover, these two geological forms are interlayered. Under sunlight, the lakes look like green gems locked in rugged branches, and the calcified pools look like jade cups with skirts. The two landscapes complement and intertwine, creating a fairy-tale world of interlaced waterscapes and a miniature, exquisite paradise.

Chaimenguan is located at the border between Sichuan and Gansu, close to National Highway 247, and is the eastern gateway to Jiuzhaigou. Its altitude is only 1,080 meters, the lowest in Jiuzhaigou County.

Since the Three Kingdoms period, Chaimenguan has been a border military fortress. Its rich historical and cultural heritage has left many historical and cultural relics: there are two county-level cultural relic protection units, Qing Dynasty stone inscriptions ('Qin-Shu Border' and 'Qinchuan Suoyue'), the classic folk song 'Ten Praises of Chaimenguan,' the Qin-Shu Earth Temple honoring 'Two Gods,' an ancient thousand-year-old tree (winged elm), and an ancient plank road.

Since ancient times, Chaimenguan has been the gateway and barrier of Jiuzhaigou. During the Northern Zhou Dynasty, when Emperor Wu pacified the rebellion of the Yi people, during the third year of Yongzheng (1725) when he suppressed the rebellion of King Pana, and during the Xianfeng period when he put down the Gengshen rebellion, the army all took the road from Wen County and entered through Chaimenguan. Once Chaimenguan was breached, Jiuzhaigou had no defenses. Chaimenguan is an important pass on the ancient Qin-Shu road, a strategic point for the defense of Western Shu and the throat of the entire Sichuan. The discovery of the Qin-Shu border site at Chaimenguan has high historical value and profound significance for studying the history of Jiuzhaigou County.
