Does Jiuzhaigou receive visitors during the Spring Festival? Will it be closed? Jiuzhaigou is open all year round and operates normally during the Spring Festival. Jiuzhaigou will not be closed. During winter and spring, some of the scenic area's plank roads will be closed. The closure of the plank roads is to protect the scenic spots and ensure the safety of visitors, but it does not affect the visit.
How to buy tickets? How to handle a second entry?
Visitors can purchase Jiuzhaigou tickets at the scenic area ticket office and self-service ticket machines, or they can book tickets online up to 90 days in advance. The latest you can book tickets for the same day is before 12:00.
During this period, the scenic area implements a policy of free second entry. Visitors need to inform the staff when purchasing tickets on the first day that they will enter a second time. An additional sightseeing bus ticket for the next day is required.

The scenic area ticket office opens at 8:30 AM daily, and visiting hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
What clothes should I wear when going to Jiuzhaigou now?
In winter, Jiuzhaigou is cold and windy. It's best to prepare down jackets, thermal wear, scarves, gloves, etc. to keep warm. However, it's still warm when the sun comes out.
Bus:
- Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station → Jiuzhaigou Entrance Tourist Transport Center: (1) Fares are 139 RMB/person and 156 RMB/person; (2) Approximately two buses per day, departing around 8:00 AM; (3) The journey takes about 10 hours.
- Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Station → Jiuzhaigou County Bus Station: (1) Fares are 157 RMB/person and 174 RMB/person; (2) Two buses per day, departing around 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM; (3) The journey takes about 10 hours. There are public buses between the county and Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, 5 RMB/person. Note: Due to large fluctuations in visitor numbers, the above schedules are subject to change. Airplane:
(1) Air China CA4481, departure around 10:05 AM; (2) Sichuan Airlines 3U8607, departure around 2:45 PM. There are shuttle buses between Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport and Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, taking about 1.5 hours, 45 RMB/person. Self-driving:
1. In winter, the road is prone to ice. When self-driving to Jiuzhaigou, be sure to bring tire chains. 2. In rainy or snowy weather, drivers should drive slowly, look carefully, keep a safe distance, and steer steadily.
One-day tour:
Morning: Take the bus to Rize Valley and visit along the route: Grass Sea – Swan Sea – Arrow Bamboo Sea – Arrow Bamboo Sea Waterfall – Panda Sea – Panda Sea Waterfall – Five Flower Sea – Pearl Shoal – Pearl Shoal Waterfall – Mirror Sea. Have lunch at Nuorilang Service Center.
Afternoon: From Nuorilang Service Center, take the bus to Long Sea for a visit. After viewing the Five Color Pond, take the bus back to Nuorilang Service Center. Then, along the exit route, visit in order: Nuorilang Waterfall – Lovers' Beach – Rhinoceros Sea – Tiger Sea – Shuzheng Waterfall – Shuzheng Village – Shuzheng Cluster Lakes – Wolong Sea – Spark Sea – Shuanglong Sea – Reed Sea – Bonsai Shoal. Exit the scenic area to end the trip.
Two-day tour:

View Shuzheng Cluster Lakes, Wolong Sea, Spark Sea three-level waterfall – Shuanglong Sea – Reed Sea – Bonsai Shoal. Exit the scenic area to end the trip.
Jiuzhaigou has a wide variety of delicious food, not only traditional dishes such as tsampa, butter tea, and blood sausage, but also medicinal mountain delicacies like Jiuzhaigou mushroom pot. Various local snacks such as potato dumplings, milk residue steamed buns, and highland barley wine are also abundant, definitely satisfying your taste buds.

Since there are many visitors during the Spring Festival, it is recommended to book accommodation online in advance. There are many hotels and inns near the entrance of Jiuzhaigou, with prices generally ranging from 200 to 500 RMB per night.
