Best Route from Jiuzhaigou via Shenxianchi to Internet-Famous Attractions and the Correct Way to Check In

In the summer of 2021, in western Sichuan, starting from Jiuzhaigou, what are the most recommended internet-famous attractions along the way? How many do you know? How many have you visited? Today, I will recommend several popular and representative internet-famous attractions: Nen'ensangcuo (Shenxianchi), 28 Curves, Dalu Ancient Tibetan Village, Gannan Zhagana, Ruoergai Flower Lake, and Langmu Temple. These are the most worthwhile "internet-famous" attractions in western Sichuan this summer. Not only are the scenery enchanting, but they are also great places to escape the heat and enjoy the cool. Also, do you know the most time-saving and cost-effective route from Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area to the internet-famous attraction Zhagana? Today, I will give you a key recommendation.

In the past, if we took the traditional route to visit all the internet-famous attractions I recommended above, no matter which route we took, it would be very circuitous to reach Zhagana. Moreover, we would have to retrace our steps on the return trip after visiting. Under normal circumstances, it would take a long time to reach the final destination of Zhagana, and the journey would be physically and mentally exhausting. Today, I recommend a route to Zhagana that passes through Nen'ensangcuo (Shenxianchi). The nearest road is the Jiuru Road. Taking the Jiuru Road via Nen'ensangcuo (Shenxianchi) to Zhagana is only 253 kilometers in total, taking 5 hours, making it the shortest of all routes! Moreover, the road conditions are very good, as it is a newly built road. So this is a shortcut not to be missed. In summer, romantic and warm, we need a spontaneous trip. Whether going to the seaside or into a secluded valley, as long as we are on the road, there is anticipation. Set aside all pressure and lift your spirits. Take a spontaneous trip in summer, put on beautiful clothes, prepare to keep cool, pack your good mood, and go check in at western Sichuan. When talking about western Sichuan, Jiuzhaigou is definitely a must-visit. After seeing the stunning landscapes of Jiuzhaigou, if you still feel unsatisfied, then I recommend you go to the next place: Nen'ensangcuo (Shenxianchi).

In the primeval forest of Shenxianchi, we travel through billions of years of time, dyed by the passage of time. It is like a fairy-tale world of interlaced waterscapes!

Nen'ensangcuo, also known as "Shenxianchi," means "the place where fairies bathe." It combines the landscapes of Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, like a crystal-clear, delicate, and brilliant pearl set in the Greater Jiuzhaigou tourism loop. It features Huanglong's travertine colored pools and Jiuzhaigou's forest lakes, plus unique waterfalls and green mountains, all ingeniously integrated here. It is quiet and uncrowded. The various large and small lakes here rival those of Jiuzhaigou, and there are also sparkling colored pools, magnificent canyons, brilliant colorful forests, and pure snow scenes.

Shenxianchi in summer is charming and beautiful. The forest vegetation is dense, presenting a dreamlike world dominated by green but also featuring multiple colors. Here are the ten great wonders: sacred mountains, sacred pools, sacred eagles, sacred flatlands, colorful forests, red cliffs, flower seas, pastoral scenes, and snow views. The mountains form 2600 lakes and travertine platforms of various sizes, typical karst landforms. The lakes are like green gems locked in twisted branches, and the travertine pools are like jade cups adorned with skirts. It's more like a miniature and exquisite fairyland!

Dalu Ancient Tibetan Village:

Dalu Ancient Tibetan Village is the oldest existing village in China, with a history of over 1,000 years. In Tibetan, Dalu is pronounced "Danong," meaning "standing tiger"; because the shape of the entire village resembles a huge tiger lying sideways on the mountainside. The ancient village is located on a gentle slope on the mountainside, with buildings staggered in layers, preserving the most primitive stilted plank house structure.

Starting from Jiuzhaigou, take the Jiuru Road via Shenxianchi, and it takes about 5 hours by car to reach the internet-famous attraction Zhagana. Zhagana is a natural stone city, located in Yixi Township, about 30 kilometers northwest of Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. In Tibetan, "Zhagana" means "stone box." The terrain resembles both a grand palace and a natural rock fortress.

The mountains of Zhagana are steep and majestic, shrouded in clouds and mist, like a fairyland. In the Tibetan village, various production activities such as nomadism, agriculture, hunting, and woodcutting are reasonably combined and complement each other, making it a model of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Key recommendation: Ticket prices for Shenxianchi Scenic Area:

Nen'ensangcuo (Shenxianchi) Scenic Area in Jiuzhaigou County has entered the best viewing season. The peak season ticket prices will be implemented from June 1, 2021:

Starting from Jiuzhaigou, go via Shangsi Village to enter Shenxianchi Scenic Area, passing through Lalai River Dam, the most beautiful internet-famous road 28 Curves, Riyue Observation Deck, and the Yak Pass of Yalong Nari Sacred Mountain (meaning "mountain without tears," altitude 3688 meters). The total distance to Shenxianchi is 45 kilometers; from Shenxianchi Scenic Area, go via Dalu Ancient Tibetan Village, take the Jiuru Road, cross the Lama Ridge (altitude 3990 meters), descend to Qiuji Township Xiahuangzhai Village, where the road branches to Diebu County, Gannan Prefecture. Along the way, you can visit the E'jie (Ojie) Conference Site in Dala Township, and then reach Zhagana. The total distance is 246 kilometers, taking 4.5 hours by car. From Zhagana to Langmu Temple is only 71 kilometers, and from Langmu Temple to Ruoergai is only 89 kilometers. After visiting this route, you can return to Chengdu. The key reason to recommend this route is that you never retrace your steps and can visit many highlights of western Sichuan.
