Jiuzhaigou County is located in the northern part of Sichuan Province, in the northeast of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. The three international honors of "World Natural Heritage", "World Biosphere Reserve", and "Green Globe 21" are all concentrated in one scenic area, highlighting Jiuzhaigou's monopoly.

It boasts many high-quality scenic spots, including Zhongcha Gully, Fairy Pool, Ganhaizi, Jiawu Pool, Jiuzhaigou National Forest Park, Baihe Golden Monkey National Nature Reserve, Wujiao Giant Panda Reserve, and Jiuzhai Paradise, known as the "Oriental Davos".

National intangible cultural heritages such as Zhanwu Dance, Nanping Tune, Panda Dance, and Sichuan-Tibet Mountain Songs add to the charm of Jiuzhaigou County; the three tourism cards of Jiuzhaigou, giant pandas, and golden monkeys are world-renowned.

Jiuzhaigou County has since received numerous honors, including China's Most Beautiful Leisure Resort Tourism County, Asia Golden Tourism Award·Top Ten Leisure (Vacation) Tourism Destinations, China's Most Livable, Business-friendly, and Tourist-friendly City, Sichuan Province Rural Tourism Demonstration County, National Forest Tourism Demonstration County, and Sichuan Province Top Ten Eco-tourism Counties, with tourism development consistently ranking among the top in the country.

The "8.8" earthquake in 2017 brought Jiuzhaigou's tourism service industry to a near standstill, with a precipitous drop in tourism revenue and visitor numbers.

During post-disaster reconstruction, Jiuzhaigou County deeply implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instruction to "promote high-quality recovery, reconstruction, and development of the Jiuzhaigou earthquake-stricken area, and strive to build it into a model of green development, poverty alleviation, and moderate prosperity in ethnic regions, so that the affected people can soon live a happy and healthy life," as well as Secretary Peng Qinghua's work requirements to "build Jiuzhaigou into a model of green development, all-for-one tourism, and poverty alleviation to achieve moderate prosperity." It actively explored the Jiuzhaigou path of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," accelerated the construction of key scenic spots, improved tourism infrastructure, and forged a new path of efficient and high-quality reconstruction. Now, Jiuzhaigou has risen from the ashes, even more beautiful.

In 2018, at the "Sichuan-Hong Kong-Macau Cooperation Week·Entering Hong Kong" Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum, Secretary Peng Qinghua used the keyword "Three Nines and One Big" to introduce Sichuan. The "Nine" naturally referred to Jiuzhaigou, fully reflecting Jiuzhaigou's role as a window in the province's strategic layout.

To this end, Jiuzhaigou County implemented the overall strategy of "Comprehensive Development, Green Rise," adhered to the development concept of "Expanding Scenic Areas, Increasing Capacity, Multi-point, Multi-level," vigorously promoted the "All-for-One Tourism" development strategy, leveraged its advantages in natural heritage, ecological culture, intangible culture, scientific expedition and exploration, leisure health care, and Baima Tibetan culture, accelerated the construction of tourism reconstruction projects such as Fairy Pool Eco-tourism Area, Ganhaizi Eco-cultural Tourism Area, Wujiao Ethnic Eco-tourism Experimental Area, Jiuzhai Optical Valley International Tourism Resort, and Zhangzha International Eco-tourism Charming Town, completed the Jiuzhaigou County Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Center, Jiuzhai Yunding Secret Realm Tourism Resort, and Zhongcha Gully Jiuzhai Luneng Resort Tourism Resort, and promoted the transformation and upgrading of Jiuzhaigou County's tourism industry.

With the integration of culture and tourism, a practical path for Jiuzhaigou's cultural tourism to reach new heights was explored. Jiuzhai·Tiankou Folk Customs Street was honored with titles such as "National First Batch of Rural Tourism Maker Demonstration Base" and "Sichuan Province College Student Entrepreneurship and Employment Practice Base."

The performance cluster centered on "Jiuzhai Eternal Love" supports a national-level cultural industry demonstration base. Cultural + tourism activities such as "Icefall Festival," "All-for-One Jiuzhai·Tumo Carnival," "Jiuzhai Food Festival," and "Lantern Festival Gala," along with the country's first "World Natural Heritage Big Data Center," further amplify Jiuzhaigou's advantages.

Jiuzhaigou County has always adhered to the concept that "Service is the brand, service generates benefits." It took the lead in the province in completing the star rating of family farmhouses and the grading of non-star tourist hotels. 107 hotels and 792 village inns offer high quality and good service, creating a social environment of "Honest Jiuzhai, Civilized Tourism." Jiuzhaigou's tourism reception capacity and service level rank among the top in the province.

Naturally, Jiuzhaigou returned and became one of the third batch of Tianfu Famous Tourism County designations.
