Taking advantage of the National Day holiday, I went on a road trip to Jiuzhaigou with a few friends. Starting from Longnan, we drove south, crossing mountains and ridges, after 7 hours of bumpy ride, we finally arrived at our destination.
Upon reaching the scenic area, the three striking red characters "Jiuzhaigou" came into view. Looking into the distance, the mountains rolled on endlessly, and the forest was lush and green. Entering the park, we boarded a sightseeing bus. As the bus moved forward, we first arrived at Bonsai Beach. These bonsais were not the bonsais we had imagined; they had no pots or artificial pruning. Instead, they were coniferous shrubs growing along the shallow shoals in the trickling streams. They were short in stature, evenly spaced, and posed in various shapes in the water—some vigorous and powerful, some graceful and elegant, forming a myriad of natural bonsais. Continuing on, we arrived at a wide open area—Reed Sea. Golden reeds rippled like waves in the breeze, rolling forward one after another. The winding river in the middle flowed quietly, with reeds on both sides stretching far into the distance, seemingly endless. Occasionally, a few wild ducks flew out of the reeds, circling and calling in the air, then returning to the water to forage, accompanied by a flock of seabirds. This was their habitat, their peaceful "home." What a warm scene!
After visiting the clear, deep, and expansive Rhinoceros Lake and the Tiger Lake hidden deep in the forest, we took the bus to Nuorilang Waterfall. As soon as we got off, we were drawn by the bustling noise of the crowd and the thunderous sound of water. Climbing a few flights of winding boardwalk steps, a tall landmark stone stood before us: "Nuorilang Waterfall." Walking to the viewing platform at the bottom of the steps, we could see the full view of the waterfall. "Nuorilang" means "male god" in Tibetan, symbolizing tall and majestic stature, also representing the magnificent Nuorilang Waterfall. The surging water flowed over successive low embankments, passed through shrubby shoals, and cascaded from the top of the cliff straight down into the valley. The waterfall was powerful and vast, the roar of the water echoing through the valley. The splashing mist, illuminated by sunlight, was colorful and dazzling. As described by the Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai: "Its torrent dashes down three thousand feet from high, As if the Silver River fell from the blue sky." The spectacular scene of Nuorilang Waterfall is an excellent choice for tourists to take photos. Not only is it beautiful, but it is also a filming location for some影视作品, such as the ending theme music scene of "Journey to the West," which was shot against the backdrop of Nuorilang Waterfall. Therefore, people eagerly take photos as a memorable souvenir, which is very meaningful.
After a day of sightseeing, we dragged our tired bodies onto the returning sightseeing bus, feeling heartfelt admiration: Jiuzhaigou is truly a paradise on earth, a kingdom of water, a dreamlike world. The beauty of Jiuzhaigou lies in every mountain, every stream, every blade of grass, every tree, every flower, every bird—every scene makes you feel as if you are immersed in a painting. Jiuzhaigou is beautiful because of its water, lively because of its water, and famous because of its water. Water is the protagonist of Jiuzhaigou, the dancing spirit of Jiuzhaigou, as praised by the world: "Having visited Huangshan, no other mountain is worth seeing; having visited Jiuzhaigou, no other water is worth seeing." That is what makes Jiuzhaigou so enchanting.
