China Jiuzhai’s First Wild Race! The 2024 Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi Cup “Huai Xia Cross-Country Race” Officially Starts
On June 9, the 2024 Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi Cup “Huai Xia Cross-Country Race” kicked off at Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi International Tourism Resort! The race attracted hundreds of participants from around the world, who ran amidst high mountains, meadows, and forests, experiencing the cross-country journey of “running on the track as if wandering in a painting.”
This event was hosted by Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi International Tourism Resort, guided by Sichuan Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Association, Aba Prefecture Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Association, and Jiuzhaigou County Culture, Radio, Television, Sports and Tourism Bureau, and operated by Jiuzhaigou County Xulu Yuepao Sports Event Planning Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Shanye Culture and Tourism Co., Ltd.
As the first wild race in Jiuzhai, China, Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi International Tourism Resort designed the race route by comprehensively considering the presentation of mountain landscape features and the comfort of participants. Relying on high mountains, meadows, Tibetan villages, forests, and streams, it constructed a cross-country route showcasing the most beautiful Jiuzhai scenery. The route was set in three distance categories: 10KM, 25KM, and 35KM, skillfully connecting Jiuzhai’s natural beauty, rich cultural history, and international resort lifestyle, creating a professional, challenging, and visually pleasing race route. This made the race a journey of exploring the wilderness and understanding culture, allowing every participant to deeply feel the grandeur and charm of World Jiuzhai.
The participants, immersed in the wilderness, ran freely and climbed to the mountain peaks. The entire race passed through popular scenic spots of the resort, including the White Pagoda at Shenying Square in Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi International Tourism Resort, Bo’re Tibetan Village, and Wild World Outdoor Park. Along the way, participants could enjoy Jiuzhai’s scenery and experience Tibetan culture while outdoor cross-country running.
The Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi Cup “Huai Xia Cross-Country Race” route features characteristics of an all-terrain cross-country track. Since the preparation phase, Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi International Tourism Resort has placed great importance on safety assurance, engaging in in-depth communication on key aspects such as race safety and emergency response, formulating comprehensive work plans, safety plans, and emergency response plans, and ensuring race safety through human, physical, and technical measures.
Race services were meticulously refined. Staff and volunteers along the route provided participants with timing, supply distribution, and guidance services. The race also utilized an advanced domestic Beidou satellite tracking system to monitor participants’ movement trajectories in real time, promptly warning of any anomalies and activating rescue systems, thereby ensuring participant safety to the greatest extent. The professional, warm, and enthusiastic race services also became a beautiful highlight of the 2024 Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi Cup “Huai Xia Cross-Country Race.”
As the award ceremony and closing event were grandly held at Shenying Square, the 2024 Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi Cup “Huai Xia Cross-Country Race” officially came to an end. As an international mountain outdoor sports tourism destination, Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi International Tourism Resort continues to promote the integration of culture, sports, and tourism, focusing on the “follow the race to travel” race economy development strategy, adding sports elements to Jiuzhaigou World Eco-Tourism Destination, advancing the great leap of Jiuzhai’s regional tourism, and writing a new chapter in Jiuzhai’s development.
Since 2024, Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi International Tourism Resort, rooted in local culture and relying on mountain resources, has successfully held cultural activities and sports events such as the Tibetan New Year, Macha Culture Festival, Combat Music Festival, and Huai Xia Cross-Country Race. Upcoming events will include the “Macha Daze Festival” Tibetan archery competition.
