A Group Tour of Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary for National Day
I remember reading a sentence in a book: 'At 20, rush to Prague to find the Bohemian spirit' (ashamedly, it wasn't until I was over 40 that I saw this sentence and could fulfill my long-cherished dream). Many have also said that Prague is an absolute must-visit city. So, during this year's so-called longest Golden Week, unable to suppress my inner longing and passion, I signed up for a group tour of five countries: Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Of course, due to well-known reasons, most Chinese citizens can only join group tours to these regions, especially couples traveling together. Although I strongly dislike group tours from the bottom of my heart, Europe is not Southeast Asia; I can't freely backpack around like in Thailand, Malaysia, or Indonesia. Fortunately, these five countries are all Schengen states; a visa from one country allows smooth travel. At the airport, I received my passport and learned we had a Czech visa. The Czech Republic has a consulate in Shanghai, and a few fellow travelers from Ningbo were even asked for a personal interview, but all got their visas smoothly. However, after returning, our tour guide collected our passports for visa cancellation—traveling in Europe is no easy feat!
